Cast your vote for the giraffe calf's name -
January 26th - February 26th
Each vote will be a $1 donation with a portion of the proceeds supporting the Giraffe Conservation Foundation (GCF).
The remaining proceeds will be used for the care and enrichment of the calf, mother Vivian, dad Taji, and brother, Finely. The voting will remain open until midnight Feb 26. The winning name will be announced on March 1st at a press conference. Stay tuned for more details.
Be the first to experience a "behind the scenes giraffe calf meet and greet" while supporting Peoria Zoo and giraffe conservation.
Each $1 donation is one entry in the "giraffe calf meet and greet" giveaway.
The winner and up to 5 additional guests, accompanied by a zoo staff member will have a chance to experience one of the first behind the scenes meet and greet with mom, Vivian and calf. Winner will be announced March 1st, 2018.
All participants must be at least 5 years of age and two members of the party must be over the age of 18. Time and date of the "giraffe calf meet and greet" will be scheduled with zoo staff and will take place in the first week of March. "Giraffe calf meet and greet" is non-transferrable. Votes are non-refundable. Peoria Zoo employees (and their immediate family members) are not eligible to win the "giraffe calf meet and greet".

Zoo staff modified an off-exhibit stall to offer a secure, quiet and soft overnight place for the expectant Vivian and her calf. A video camera was installed in her maternity area so the staff could monitor the Vivian and her calf 24/7.
