Habitat:
Adapted to tropical environments. The wild ancestors lived in open forests and meadows.
Range:
Derived from an Asian subspecies. Originally found throughout Europe, Southern Asia, and Northern Africa.

Features:
Zebu have humps on the shoulders, large dewlaps and droopy ears. Other than that they look like a typical cow. Their coloring can be mixture of black, gray, or bay.

About the size of a typical cow
Social Structure:
Social creatures that prefer herds. Wild groups can consist of a bull and several females with young.
Diet:
Grassy plants, leaves and acorns.
Status:
Domesticated
Interesting Facts:
- There are over 30 known breeds of zebu each originating in a province of India.
- Sacred cattle of India and is allowed to roam the streets and villages.
- Have more sweat glands than other cattle, allowing them to handle hot, humid climates.
- Tick resistant
- Horns are found on both males and females and grow throughout their lives.
