New at the Zoo

Welcome, Rory!

Animal Spotlight

Welcome, Rory!

Say hello to Rory, the newest member of the Peoria Zoo family! Born this summer, this young mandrill brings boundless energy and curiosity to the troop. Rory is learning the ropes from his big sister River, while the rest of the troop keeps a close eye on their playful newcomer. Mandrills are the largest species of monkey, and guests will enjoy watching Rory grow into his striking features and bold personality over time. From quick climbs to inquisitive glances, every day brings a new milestone for Rory. Be sure to stop by the mandrill habitat during your next visit. You may catch him in the middle of a playful tumble or sticking close to mom as he discovers his world.
