Native to the tropical forests of Colombia, cotton top tamarins are known for their striking white crests, close family bonds, and important role in their forest ecosystem. Cotton top tamarins face serious challenges in the wild, including habitat loss and illegal wildlife trade. Day of the Cotton-top Tamarin is an opportunity to raise awareness about these threats and the conservation efforts helping protect the species and its habitat.
