Get ready for a HOWLing good time at Peoria Zoo!

Time: 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM (last admission at 8:00 PM)

Halloween gets a little WILD at Zootober! Each weekend, Peoria Zoo comes alive with glowing lights, creepy creatures, surprising characters, and plenty of Halloween fun for the whole family.

Explore the Zoo as you make your way through immersive Halloween scenes featuring lifelike animatronics, dazzling light displays, and live actors waiting around the corner. Stroll along spooky trails and displays while collecting candy at stops along the way. Grab a spooky snack or themed drink, stop for a Halloween photo op, enjoy hands-on activities, and see what strange new creatures you might encounter.

Please note, all ticket purchases are final. Zootober uses timed entry tickets at 5:30, 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, and 8:00 PM. Your ticketed time is simply your entry window. Once you’re inside, you’re welcome to stay and enjoy Zootober until the event closes!

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • HALLOWEEN SCENES & SURPRISES:
    Wander through immersive displays filled with animatronics, lights, live actors, and plenty of unexpected encounters.
  • SPOOKY TREATS & DRINKS:
    Enjoy Halloween-themed food and drinks, from spooky snacks to seasonal sips.
  • COSTUMES ENCOURAGED!
    Break out your favorite costume and get ready for some seriously spooky photo opportunities.
  • AN AFTER-HOURS ZOO EXPERIENCE:
    There will be no animals on exhibit during Zootober, but the Zoo will be crawling with plenty of other eerie "creatures".
  • LIVE MUSIC ON SATURDAYS:
    Keep the Halloween fun going with live music every Saturday evening during Zootober! With only three Saturdays to join the fun, you won't want to miss a beat.

  • The Glen Oak Express is rolling into Zootober! Hop aboard for an evening train ride through Glen Oak Park and add another adventure to your Zootober visit.
