Concessions At The Zambezi River Lodge
The Lodge at Peoria Zoo, located in the heart of our Africa exhibit, offers a delicious selection of menu items year-round. Under the culinary expertise of Karen Hocker, former owner of Chef and the Baker, our menu brings a fresh and flavorful twist to classic favorites. With indoor seating and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot to relax, refuel, and take in the sights and sounds of the zoo before continuing your adventure!

Hours
The Lodge hours vary seasonally and we may be closed due to private parties. Winter hours, now through April are Wednesday-Sunday from 10:30am-4:30pm.

Whether you’re grabbing a quick snack or enjoying a hearty meal, The Lodge serves up concession favorites alongside featured entrées that change with the season.
Safari Gift Shop
Check out the Safari Gift Shop! New items are arriving all the time, from apparel to plushies to home décor.
Hours & Location
Located at the main entrance to the Zoo, the gift shop is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The shop is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Member Discount
Peoria Zoo members are entitled to a 10% discount on all regular priced merchandise. Be sure to show your member card to receive your discount.
Gift Cards Available
For that hard to please person on your list. Gift Cards are available at the Safari Gift Shop. Gift Cards may be redeemed for Gift Shop merchandise, Admission or at concessions at the zoo. Gift cards purchased at the Zoo may also be redeemed at other Peoria Park District facilities.
Eco-friendly
Check out our environmentally-friendly and eco-sustainable offerings. For example, The Petting Zoo plush animals are made from 100% recycled material. Their video below demonstrates how they make such soft plush animals made only from recycled plastic bottles. Whatever you pick out, you can feel good knowing that you’re helping to protect the environment while supporting the Peoria Zoo’s wildlife conservation programs.
